Capital Fund Donation

The Edge Foundation has a window of opportunity to obtain, at a temporarily reduced price, customized foundation management software. This software is needed to more efficiently manage and grow the Foundation, and to make the most of the resources we already have. We need to raise $25,000 by September 25th. Your donation, in any amount, is most appreciated and fully tax-deductable (you will receive a confirmation for your records). It will contribute to our ability to reach and to help the many thousands of students with ADHD who could benefit from a little leg up.

Please indicate the amount you are able to contibute and click "Add to Cart". Then, in the box that appears, click on "Go to Checkout" and complete the information form and submit.

And THANK YOU for your donation!

Embracing the Edge

A compelling collection of personal, inspirational stories, Embracing the Edge recounts how author Neil Peterson overcame physical and learning disabilities from an early age to become a successful entrepreneur, corporate executive and public servant. During his 40-year career, Peterson founded five successful companies including Flexcar, the award-winning car-sharing company, and served as the head of public transportation systems in Los Angeles, Oakland and Seattle. Numerous awards, including TIME magazine’s “100 Newsmakers of Tomorrow” in Seattle, attest to his success.

But no one…not even Peterson himself…suspected he suffered from Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) until his son and daughter were diagnosed with ADD and ADHD in their mid teens. It was then that Peterson learned of his own affliction when his doctor explained that ADHD is hereditary. The challenges he had endured his entire life suddenly made sense.

Born in 1944, Peterson grew up on the east coast, was educated at Williams College and earned a master’s degree at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton. Now a popular motivational speaker, Neil is also an inveterate cyclist, hiker, golfer, snowboarder and ballroom dancer. He splits his time between Seattle and Indio, CA.
