Enrollment Qualifications
All of our coaches are well trained life coaches who receive additional specialized training and supervision in order to become Edge Coaches. We promise our clients and their parents that our coaches meet some of the most rigorous standards in the business. If they choose to work with an Edge ADHD Coach, they know they’ll be in good hands.
In order to become an Edge ADHD Coach, candidates must have:
I) Documentation that you have completed at least one of the following life-coach trainings
- IAAC certification (SCAC or CAC)
- ICF certification (ACC, PCC, or MCC)
- Graduation from an ICF-certified school with at least 60 hours of training, or
- Taken and passed at least 60 hours of ICF-approved training.
- Note: Those who meet the life coach training requirement but who do not yet meet the experience requirements are still eligible for our Associate Edge Coach program. Please be sure to ask for details when you contact us.
II) Coaching experience:
- a minimum of two years of experience as a coach, and
- a minimum of 10 clients.
III) Certificate of completion of ADHD coach training via JST Coaching, LLC.
- Note: this program offers 30 CCEUs accredited by the International Coach Federation, the Institute for the Advancement of AD/HD Coaching and the Center for Credentialing and Education for board certification.
Coach Training Overview
The Edge Foundation requires all Edge ADHD Coaches to complete a supplemental accredited coach training program through JST Coaching, LLC. This program is designed to ensure consistent use of protocols and to provide coaches with the necessary skills and tools to coach teens and young adults:
- 30 hour class, “Coaching Teens & College Students with ADHD” provided by weekly teleconference.
- Covers skills and strategies for effective coaching of teens and young adults with ADHD in and out of academic settings.
- Each participant is required to complete selected readings in addition to the course homework.
- Weekly coaching practices with role playing will sharpen your skills.
- Classes will be recorded and provided for MP3 playback.
- Certificate of course completion will be provided.
- Individualized attention in small, 15 students classes.
- Coaches are responsible for all book purchases.

Our Training Consultant: JST Coaching, LLC
JST Coaching, LLC was founded by Jodi Sleeper-Triplett, Master Certified Coach and Senior Certified ADHD Coach. Jodi is the founder of the movement for ADHD coaching for youth and has been working with young people for nearly 35 years. As cofounder of the Institute for the Advancement of ADHD Coaching and developer of the coach training programs for the Edge Foundation, Sleeper-Triplett is seen by many of her peers as the foremost expert in the field of ADHD coaching for youth.
Jodi is the president of JST Coaching, LLC, a premiere coach training and coaching company focused on ADHD youth coaching. She developed the first training course focused on coaching youth with ADHD, which is now offered in Spanish and Turkish. Her first book, Empowering Youth with ADHD, is now available online and in bookstores.
Jodi completed her coach training with the Coaches Training Institute, Success Unlimited Network, and the American Coaching Association. She graduated from the unique BDIC Program at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a B.A. in human services/mental health. She is a long-standing volunteer for CHADD at the national, regional, and local levels.
